How to Feed Your Brain
Every age is a good age to think about your brain

Your brain is an amazing piece of equipment.

It controls everything your body does—breathing, moving, digesting foods and simply talking to someone. It oversees your emotions and offers you the chance to dream, create, plan and live a good life.

Studies suggest "aging" is no longer a good excuse for changes in your brain, such as memory problems. Lifestyle habits can have a significant impact on your brain’s health and what happens to it as you live life.

There is much we can do to keep our brains bright and working well. Do what you can to build and keep the best brain possible. It's a lifelong and life-changing (for the better) opportunity.

From the beginning…
Before, during and after pregnancy, what a woman eats can benefit the development of her baby’s brain. Iron, choline, omega-3 fats, copper and more (see Brain Nutrients) are needed to create and nourish the 100 billion + brain cells being formed.

Throughout life…
Every day, nutrition and lifestyle habits affect the growth and development of your brain. Changes in your brain are inevitable—but what those changes will look like is not. Check out ways to improve your odds that the changes are for the better.
